When I Flipped Through the Pages

Today I woke up and flipped through the papers,

Saw your smiling photograph in between the pages,

They say that you too are leaving us in stages,

Funny how time flies fast in phases.

Today I woke up and flipped through the papers,

Saw your obituary in between the articles,

And it seems nostalgic, it seems like I’ve known you for ages,

Funny how life and time always changes.

Today I woke up and flipped through the papers,

All I see is bad news and I think to myself Jesus,

Time’s are bad and I felt the numbness,

Funny how I tore the paper to pieces.

Today I woke up and didn’t flipped through the papers,

Realised I had better things to do than to loose myself in mazes,

Walked about my house in tiny little circles,

Funny how I realised Life’s like a huge circus.
