Driving

The sun started setting as the evening breeze gently played with my hair. I drove my car slowly, there was no reason to be in a hurry. I turned and looked at her, she sat next to me, staring at the world outside, lost in her thoughts. I looked infront at the world that we were traversing with in the little blue Datsun. I turned again to look, and held her hands. They were warm and soft and she turned to look at me, smiled. I smiled back. Her face gives out this glow when she smiles, and her eyes become slightly smaller. And that’s when it hit me; I’m sitting next to the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world. At the back of my head, somewhere, I hear the gentle sound of a piano playing. I take in her beauty with a deep breath, laugh and carry on driving.
